About the Role

We operate in an AI-first engineering environment, where AI-powered development is at the core of how we design, build, and deliver software.

Our engineers leverage AI coding agents to move faster so we can focus on system design, problem-solving, technical judgment, and delivering reliable software.

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong engineering fundamentals, product thinking, and hands-on experience with AI coding agents. You'll own features end-to-end, working across frontend and backend while collaborating closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps.

Our stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own feature delivery: Work with Product and Design to turn requirements into technical solutions and ship features from design to production.

  • Design scalable systems: Define APIs, data models, and service architecture with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.

  • Build with AI agents: Leverage tools like Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate development, testing, and debugging while owning the quality of the output.

  • Ensure software quality: Define acceptance criteria, validate implementations through automated testing, and review code for correctness and maintainability.

  • Own production outcomes: Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the features you build, partnering with DevOps on infrastructure and deployments.

  • Improve how we build: Contribute to engineering best practices, secure development, and AI-assisted workflows.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.

  • Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, APIs, and relational databases.

  • Solid understanding of system design, data modeling, application security, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

  • Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to deliver software, with the judgment to validate and improve their output.

  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and production troubleshooting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, product thinking, and ownership mentality.

  • Nice to Have

  • Experience in FinTech, banking, payments, or integrations with Stripe, Plaid, or BaaS providers.

  • Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, or high-volume transaction systems.

  • Experience developing or improving AI-assisted engineering workflows.

This is a remote first role. While we expect you to come to the office for monthly team building events, the work is remote first.
