The opportunity

The success of open source protocols, particularly in Web3, is directly correlated with developer activity and growth. This, in turn, is driven by developer relations professionals that support efficient developer onboarding and retention. However, talented web3 developer relations professionals are in limited supply and lack the proper tools to scale their expertise, creating friction for developers. Boolean Labs is building a set of tools to enable developer relations teams in Web3 and beyond to seamlessly onboard, educate and co-create with their developer community.

This venture has been significantly de-risked, with product-market fit verified and solid commercial traction. Diagram provides capital, network, and support services, giving you the leverage you need to quickly scale this business. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated entrepreneur, looking to maximize their chances of success, all while retaining significant founder equity.

Who we’re looking for

We have pilot partners on board and are assembling a team of entrepreneurs and technologists to lead the build + launch of a set of LLM-powered tools for developer relations teams to improve their workflows. In a CTO, this would entail building out the technical team and continuing to build on the core technology for the platform that is already in place.

Key responsibilities

• Execute, build upon, and scale the business’ product and technology vision. Empower the team to take ownership of this vision and drive the company’s success. Develop a vision for the development of a strong technology platform by aligning short term deliverables with long term objectives
• Continue to build out the technology backbone of the company, included but not limited to: user-facing SaaS workflow tools; infrastructure and integrations with LLMs, vector databases, and application frameworks such as Langchain; model fine-tuning; etc.
• Build and lead a high caliber team by facilitating the recruitment, retention, and professional development of “A” player early hires across all technology profiles
• Own technical architecture and assume accountability for the design, implementation, and evolution of the technical systems. This includes making decisions regarding the selection of technologies, architecture design, and engagement with vendors or partners.
• Review and evaluate latest technology developments with the goal to integrate them in the product to improve the user experience
• Engage with the wider organization to solicit feedback and identify opportunities where technology can serve as a unique competitive advantage

Requirements

• Track record of building SaaS or open source products from the ground-up that have great UI/UX, scalability, and resilience
• Hands-on experience building applications that leverage LLMs, AI, NLP in production environments, experience with prompt engineering methodologies
• Strong knowledge and experience with web3 infrastructure and applications – including working with utility tokens for reputation, access, and incentivization – and empathy for the communities that use and build them
• Track record of identifying and hiring top talent, evidence of followership, developing and leading high-performance teams
• Establishing best practices in software engineering, including project management, automated testing methodologies, DevOps processes, and secure coding practices
• Experience working with investors and boards of directors
