The opportunity
Managing Disability Insurance claims is a multifaceted role, demanding empathy, discipline, and critical thinking from claims managers. Current processes require handling vast amounts of information and coordinating between claimants, healthcare providers, and employers for a safe return to work. However, antiquated systems and communications channels such as fax, paper forms, lengthy medical records and legacy systems hamper efficiency. Claims managers must navigate complex decisions with incomplete data, often resulting in delays and errors, escalating costs, and diminishing customer satisfaction.
