We are seeking a Business Development Associate (Lead, Partner Development) to spearhead outbound efforts to source and build new client partnerships.

By partnering with key players deeply embedded in the farming community—innovative ag lenders, insurers, equipment dealers, suppliers, and retailers to simplify and enhance finance for farmers.

Role description

As a business development associate, you will have a flexible hybrid schedule (working a minimum of 3 out of 5 days in our Boulder office with our CEO) to:

  • Identify, connect, and schedule discussions with with key prospects, to include targeted companies and key executive stakeholders for partnerships, software sales (SaaS), and enterprise solutions.
  • Develop sales collateral and presentations
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Help develop product pricing, bundling (or unbundling), and sales strategy
  • Source and maintain up to date records of key prospects to identify leadership stakeholders at prospective clients and maintain detailed records of communications with prospective partners.
  • Schedule client meetings and follow-up through the sales funnel to accelerate conversion and close.
  • Maintain updated pipeline, sales, and activity reporting.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Extraordinary communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Relentless persistence and follow-through skills and comfort with making a high number of outbound calls
  • Grit, determination, and work ethic
  • An interest in advancing our mission
  • Though sales experience is helpful (so that we know if you’ll enjoy this work), it is not necessary to succeed in this role. Please let us know in your application if you have prior experience in sales, lending, or agriculture. We are open to speaking with candidates that are new to the industry, role, and fintech.
