What We’re Looking For

The Chief of Staff will support our growth and allow us to continue working smoothly together. The position will support the CEO and be tasked with managing goals and priorities, internal and external operational tasks, and special strategic projects as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare the agenda, manage priorities, and communicate with the team and stakeholders to build the presentation to Board Meetings and other similar forums.
  • Track company progress towards goals, gather updates, send investor updates to stakeholders, and serve as the point of contact to the Board of Directors.
  • Special Strategic Projects: overview materials for potential investors, and internal coordination to deliver information for fundraising.
  • Drive fundraising efforts by coordinating term sheet negotiations, managing investor relationships, and leading due diligence support to ensure seamless, timely communication and execution across all stages of the fundraising process.
  • Lead weekly executive meetings and quarterly offsites by ensuring the CEO and Executive Team receive the right information in an appropriate format and quality. Contribute to strategic conversations, facilitating productive dialogue and ensuring alignment and follow-through.
  • Lead annual/quarterly strategic planning and collaborate with leaders to set business priorities and goals.
  • Work with Finance and the company’s bankers, to manage the company’s financial model & forecasts and communicate to relevant stakeholders Work as an integrator, connecting work streams that would otherwise remain siloed.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing leaders with candid insights and a broad perspective when needed.
  • Anticipate problems and be sensitive to issues that require diplomacy.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in a tech company, Financial Institution and/or startup (Payments experience preferred).
  • Work experience as Chief of Staff or similar role.
  • Excellent budget management skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management.
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
  • Humility, maturity, and situational sensitivity.
  • This role involves frequent (at least monthly) travel for conferences, offsite meetings, and similar events.
  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area for frequent in-person meetings with customers, partners, investors, and exec team.

The salary for this full-time position (USD: $150,000-$200,000) is determined by role, level, and location. The range informed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US and Canadian locations. Within the range, individual pay will be determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant training, and other factors.
