Our team is looking for an experienced, hands-on Ontario and Alberta Licensed Personal Lines Insurance Professional who will work closely with the Walnut team to support the sale of P&C insurance products. This individual has proven success selling home and auto insurance to consumers as an individual contributor with the opportunity to build and scale a team.
You’ll play a key role in Walnut’s growth journey while contributing to the successful achievement of sales goals and targets. You will be a foundational member of our team, working closely with the founding team in a fully remote organization.
Compensation will be a base salary plus commissions/bonuses.
What you'll do:
Be customer focused and respond promptly to inbound leads and questions while working from home
Demonstrate effective service skills by providing options for customers to fit their unique insurance needs
Effectively communicate by telephone and email to resolve issues, describe programs & services to customers and when appropriate, cross-sell and up-sell other insurance products
Conduct a full file review for underwriting quality and risk exposure for each customer contact
FPR – First point resolution – able to adhere to all partner systems and underwriting processes
Influence customer loyalty through professionalism & courtesy while achieving brokerage standards for key performance indicators on a team & individual basis
Obtain/solicit leads and cross-sell other lines of business to assist with customer loyalty
Work to improve the broker sales process as you service both leads and customers
What you’ll bring to the table:
AIC license required to be able to sell home and auto insurance in Alberta
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and adaptable to change
Effective use of time management and the ability to be a self-starter
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
Collect relevant information systematically and through probing questions to process inquiries quickly and accurately
Solidify customer relationships through retention efforts and follow through on commitments
Bilingual in French and English would be a plus
Life insurance experience and active license would be a plus
Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.) also a bonus
