Position Overview

As a Software Engineer at ClearEstate, you'll build and enhance our product using cutting-edge AI tooling alongside a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers. You'll work across a diverse spectrum of financial and legal services including asset distribution, real estate, taxes, cryptocurrency, AI-powered document processing, banking, and e-signing.

We're pioneering AI-assisted development with Cursor, AI agents, and custom skills that handle code generation, testing, and PR reviews. You'll move fast and deliver exceptional results by working alongside AI as a force multiplier.

Key Responsibilities

• Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to conceptualize, design, build and deliver impactful features for our growing customer base.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (Cursor, AI agents, custom skills) to accelerate development velocity while maintaining high code quality.
• Take ownership of features and systems within your domain, ensuring their reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with support and operations teams to triage and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Participate actively in code reviews and learn from senior team members to continuously improve your craft.
• Contribute to evolving our AI-assisted development practices and workflows.

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of experience with PHP (bonus points for Laravel) and Javascript (bonus points for VueJS).
• You're excited about AI-assisted development and eager to leverage tools like Cursor and AI agents. Prior experience is a plus but not required.
• You can participate meaningfully in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• You have experience writing functional and unit tests.
• You're passionate about user experience and a strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly.
• You possess solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• You thrive in fast-paced environments where new tools and technologies are constantly evolving.
